Frequently asked questions
Where do I get an activation code?
From the provider who supplies your playlist. Stream2Player does not sell content or codes.
The app says my code is invalid, expired or disabled.
Check the digits and try again. If it still fails, contact your provider; they manage the code and its expiry date.
A channel does not play or keeps buffering.
Try another channel first to see whether the problem is with one stream. Then check your internet connection, ideally over a network cable. In Settings you can change the live stream format, which helps with some providers. If only one channel fails, the stream itself is usually the problem, so contact your provider. Our guide on fixing IPTV buffering goes through this in more detail.
How do subtitles work?
While watching a movie, press Up, choose Subtitles & Audio and open the Subtitles tab. Text subtitles stored inside MKV files are listed there. Subtitles stay off until you select one. Image-based subtitles (PGS or VobSub), subtitles inside MP4 files and separate subtitle files are not supported.
How do I lock channels or categories?
Hold OK on a channel (or press the Blue button while watching) and choose Lock channel or Lock category. The default PIN is 0000; change it under Settings, Change PIN.
I forgot my PIN.
Choose Settings, then Reset application. This removes your activation, favorites, locks and PIN from the TV, and you will activate again with your code.
How do I use a different code?
Use Settings, Reset application, then enter the new code.
How do I close the app?
Press Back to open the Home menu and choose Exit.
Which TVs are supported?
Stream2Player is currently built for LG webOS TVs. Very old models may have limited format support. If something does not work on your model, email us the model number.
Does Stream2Player include channels?
No. It is only a player. Channels, movies and series come from your own provider.
