Stream2Player

IPTV player

Your playlist on the big screen, without the clutter.

Stream2Player is an IPTV player made for the TV remote. Type the activation code your provider gave you and your live channels, movies and series show up in a clean, quick interface. No account to create, no long web addresses to type with arrow keys.

Why we built it

Most IPTV apps feel like they were designed for a phone and squeezed onto a TV. Menus are tiny, lists crawl once a playlist gets big, and entering a server address with a remote is nobody's idea of fun. We wanted a player where the first thing you see is a channel, and where moving around with arrow keys feels as quick as flipping channels used to.

So Stream2Player keeps your lists cached for fast starts, remembers what you were watching, and shows only the things you actually use. If something is missing from the screen, it is usually on purpose.

Live TV that opens quickly

Pick a category, move down the list and press OK. The channel you watched last comes back the moment you open the app. Press Up for an info bar with the current and next program, when your provider supplies a guide, plus the stream's video and audio details.

Movies and series, sorted by category

Browse your provider's movies and series with posters and ratings when they are available. Resume where you stopped, seek with the progress bar, and pick audio or subtitles from one place.

Built for a remote, and nice with a pointer

Everything works with the arrow keys, OK and Back. If your remote has a pointer, such as the LG Magic Remote, you can point, click, scroll and drag the progress bar too. Favorites and a PIN lock for channels or whole categories are one long press away.

What it doesn't do

We would rather you know up front. Stream2Player does not supply channels, record shows, or show image-based subtitles (PGS or VobSub). It reads text subtitles stored inside MKV movies and ignores external subtitle files. Your playlist is linked to the activation code by your provider, so there is no field for pasting your own address.

Quick answers

What is Stream2Player?

Stream2Player is an IPTV player: an app that plays the playlist your service provider links to your activation code. It does not include any channels or media of its own.

Do you provide channels or subscriptions?

No. We make the player only. Channels, movies, series, subscriptions and billing come from your own provider, and you are responsible for having the right to watch what you play.

Which TVs does it run on?

Right now Stream2Player is built for LG webOS TVs. The setup page has the details.

Do I need an account?

No account and no password. You enter the numeric activation code from your provider with the remote, and that is it.

What kinds of playlists work?

Your provider can link an M3U playlist or an Xtream-style (username and password) playlist to your code. Our guide on M3U versus Xtream explains the difference.
